The Earl Ferrers in Streatham hosted a “Meet the Brewer” event on Tuesday 24th March 2009 for the Sambrook’s Brewery in Battersea. Wandle is the pub’s permanent house beer.

Brewery bosses Duncan and David were on hand to discuss the setting up and running of their brewery and the practicalities of making their excellent beer. A number of South West London branch members had a very enjoyable evening chatting with the pair - and drinking their beer.

A draw was held for which Duncan Sambrook, ably assisted by the the pub Guv’nor ‘the other Duncan’, drew the winning ticket. The prize for the lucky winner was a case of the (then) soon to be launched bottle conditioned version of Wandle (ABV4.0%) - See Pic #5 above.
